Ashish graduated in 2007 from India.
After running a private practice in Mumbai for about 2 years, he came across a unique job opportunity to work aboard a luxury cruise ship as a cosmetic dentist! After visiting more than 45 countries, he decided to quit this flamboyant lifestyle and move to the UK to grow in clinical dentistry.
Having successfully passed the dreaded overseas registration examination popularly known as the ORE, he got registered with the GDC and started working in NHS dentistry.
Overcoming challenges of the cultural differences and varied work ethics, Ashish soon found his feet in UK dentistry and gradually made the shift into private dentistry to do cosmetic treatments and full mouth rehabilitations. He eventually decided to take this a step ahead and obtained his Master's degree in dental implantology from the renowned University of Central Lancashire (UCLan)
Since then, his scope of practice has been limited to implant dentistry and he is a visiting implant dentist at a few dental practices based in the west midlands. Ashish has also undergone extensive training nationally and internationally by many experts from the dental fraternity in various aspects of implant dentistry such as complex bone grafting, sinus lift procedures and periodontal plastic surgeries around teeth and implants.
Ashish is a member of the ITI and ADI and regularly attends lectures, conferences and study club meetings on all aspects of implantology to maintain and upgrade his knowledge in this field. He holds nothing back when it comes to sharing his knowledge and experience to fellow dentists and provides mentoring to dentists new to implantology. He is also a clinical supervisor and tutor at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) which provides a MSc program in dental implantology.
Alongside clinical dentistry, his non-clinical work comprises a few research projects involving biomaterials used in bone augmentation.
Outside work, Ashish is an avid reader, loves travelling and enjoys playing cricket and percussion instruments.
